    Lovely to listen to kookaburras at dusk, then fall asleep to the little squeaks of bats at night and wake to the magpies warbling in the morning. Not a large reserve but good enough for a quick 1-2 night camp or stop-over.

    The little reserve by the river here is nice enough for camping, plenty of shade. It's free camping, there are no facilities. Very good 4G Telstra signal though and not far from either Pingelly or Brookton for dump points or supplies. I was here mid-April and it was still a bit warm so there were more insects, flies and ants than when it's cooler. The ants would be an issue for anyone wanting to tent in warmer months.
